The Ideal Story

In 1967, the seeds of education were sown with the establishment of the Ideal Girl’s High School, which later evolved into a beacon of learning known as the Aziza Dawood Naik High School, Ratnagiri. The school’s journey began under the auspices of the Ideal Education Society, a group of committed and generous individuals who sought to provide quality education. Originally named IDEAL School, the institution underwent a transformative change in 1978, thanks to the benevolent contributions from the Naik family. The school was renamed as the Begum Aziza Dawood Naik Girls’ High School, Ratnagiri, reflecting the family’s commitment to education. A Board of Trustees and a general body, comprising influential figures from various walks of life in Kokan, were established to oversee the school’s affairs. Throughout its evolution, the school has stood as a testament to unwavering dedication. In 1987, the foundation of the first school building was laid, culminating in its inauguration on February 18, 1989. The institution continued to progress, embracing technological advancements with the establishment of the M. D. Naik Computer Laboratory in June 1999. The school’s commitment to holistic education was further emphasized in June 2005, with the foundation of a new school building. By June 2006, a significant milestone was reached as the institution expanded its vision to encompass both genders, officially renaming itself the Aziza Dawood Naik High School. This marked a pivotal moment, symbolizing the school’s dedication to providing a co-education to both girls and boys. Over the years, the Aziza Dawood Naik High School has thrived under the guidance of exceptional principals and a dedicated staff. Renowned for its commitment to excellence, the school has cultivated a special reputation for its academic expertise. Currently, it serves as a premier educational establishment, exemplifying the persistent essence of learning and the profound impact of committed individuals striving together for a shared objective.
